Abstract

CHAVES, Iduina Mont´Alverne Braun  and  GUEDES, Adrianne Ogêda. Children´s narratives: images and symbolisms. R. Educ. Públ. [online]. 2012, vol.21, n.47, pp.467-485. ISSN 2238-2097.

The article presents the results of research carried out in a public school in Niterói/RJ in order to capture features of school culture in scenes and images of the life of the institution from the look of the images and children´s narratives. The theoretical and methodological principles of research are anchored in the epistemology of complexity of Edgar Morin, in the Anthropology of the Imaginary by Gilbert Durand (1988, 1989) and in the (auto)biographical studies specifically in Nóvoa (2004), Josso (2009), Catani (2003), Chaves (1999, 2000), Passegi (2008), used to analyze some recurrent themes that structure the school culture and the imaginary from the perspective of the child.

Keywords : Narrative Research; Childhood; Children’s Narratives; Culture; Symbolisms.
