This study discusses a sociological profile based on narratives obtained through a semi-structured interview given by an ex student from the Education for youth and adults program (EJA) offered in the city of Palhoça (SC). Based on the methodology used by Bernard Lahire it was tried to understand how EJA may reflect the social trajectories of its graduates. As a theoretical counterpoint it was used Pierre Bourdieu’s theory. It is noteworthy that Lahire’s perspective allows relativize the success or failure in school between lower classes to contemplate in his analysis the various forms of socialization of the subject.
