Abstract

MENIN, Maria Suzana de Stefano; TAVARES, Marialva Rossi  and  MORO, Adriano. Measuring moral values: a survey with students from 6th to 9th Grades Of K-12. R. Educ. Públ. [online]. 2013, vol.22, n.49, suppl.02, pp.525-549. ISSN 2238-2097.

We present a survey-type research measuring values of respect, justice, solidarity and democratic coexistence in students from 6th to 9th grades of K-12. We presented 16 stories about values to 182 students using questions with alternatives in increasing levels of social perspectives and presented open questions to other 86 students. We show an overview of responses. The results show that the values of justice and democratic coexistence, involving dialogue, were the most difficult. The spontaneous statements showed composed and more diverse response types than the ones expected in closed alternatives.
