Resumen

We investigated conceptions of creativity and creative aching procedures, through interviews with 20 students and 20 teachers of higher education and the data were subjected to content analysis. Respondents stressed the importance of creativity and presented concepts related to innovation, break patterns, overcoming of limits, troubleshooting and characteristics of creative individuals. We observed several pedagogical procedures that promote creativity, although they were also appointed several barriers to creativity in the university context. It is expected to have contributed to the advancement of knowledge about creativity and expanded awareness of the need for its presence at the university.
