This paper is a study and a critical essay on the course and the future of Human Rights, from the point of view of Education. Initially, it reviews some concepts and practices from mythical, religious, cultural and political systems towards the development of Human Rights in History, up to 1948. Further, it explores a critical dialogue with Boaventura de Sousa Santos about the question of universality and culturality of Human Rights. Finally, it proposes some criteria about what quality in education should be in order to contribute to overcoming colonialisms and enhancing Human Rights in History.
