Abstract

ZANOTELLI, Jandir João. Educação e descolonialidades dos saberes, das práticas e dos poderes. R. Educ. Públ. [online]. 2014, vol.23, n.53, suppl.02, pp.491-500. ISSN 2238-2097.

Abstract Our education expresses, reproduces, and establishes the colonization which marks our knowledge, practices and power. On the other hand, the decolonization demands historical conscience of its origin, methods, proceedings and assumptions. Self-named criticism emphasizes subservience and alienation. It comes from the European imperial-mercantile-salvationist project forming us into an arquipelago of huge monoculture property, slave owners and exporters. To unfold its point of articulation, the one of Christianity State is necessary, becoming intentionally confused with the Christian religion. In this colonialism, they merged the perspectives (not resolved yet) of Pre-Semitic and Semitic communitarian way of life with its property founded through armed and logical violence, reducing ethics to moral obedience to the interests of the colonizer. The triumph over colonialism becomes possible through the recreation of community and the ethics of respecting the uniqueness of the other.

Keywords : Decolonization; Historical Consciousness; Christendom State and Communitarian Ethics.
