Abstract The present study is structured around research involving three different perspectives from distinct institutions, which dialogue among each other and complement each other. Those studies aim to present shared contributions about dimensions linked to the practices of teacher education and research developed in diverse contexts, with dialogues between plural methodologies and data. From the results, contributions are highlighted in order to face the contemporary challenges of education. More specifically, we call attention for the ways in which such experiences have incorporated sensibilities to cultural diversity, searching for possible ways to contextualize strategies and teacher education practices towards changes that promote multicultural sensitivities in their development.
