This article resulted from collaborative research held in a blended Pedagogy Course at The Federal University of Ceará, in which the disciplines of Integrator Seminar I and II were used. Aimed to evaluate the heuristic potential of writing about one s self for reflection on professional identity, many assumed that the choice of teaching as something natural or not questioned. The biographization allowed awareness of the process of identity formation. Some aspects were highlighted: surprise, endurance and enchantment on the biographical approach, recognizing the formative dimension of narrative about one s self and the difficulty in selecting the most significant experiences and identifying the formative experiences.
