Abstract

ALVES-MAZZOTTI, Alda Judith. Life histories of teachers, formation and social representations: a proposal of articulation. R. Educ. Públ. [online]. 2015, vol.24, n.55, pp.81-101. ISSN 2238-2097.  https://doi.org/10.2015/repub-v25n55jan.abr005.

Studies of life histories are gaining increasing importance in the educational area constituting an articulating theme of proposals relative to teacher formation. However, despite of the vitality of that field, the recognition, by the academic community, of its capacity of producing relevant knowledge is still a preoccupation. Trying to contribute to that discussion, we propose to use social representations related to teacher formation and teacher work to complement the analysis of life histories. In order to fundament the articulation proposed, we compare basic conceptions of authors representative of each of these two fields, trying to demonstrate that there are no incompatibilities between them.

Keywords : Life Histories; Autobiographical Narratives; Subjectivity; Social Representations.
