Abstract

This article seeks to comprehend the socio professional trajectory of Lorenzo Luzuriaga, spanish pedagogue who became notorious as a writer, translator, editor, and university professor, and had works published in Brazil. His socio professional trajectory is elaborated in the light of the concepts of cultural capital, social and field capital, formulated by Bourdieu. After making considerations over his educational path, Luzuriaga is analyzed on two moments of his pedagogue metier: the years lived in Madrid (1914-1936) and the time he had lived as exiled in Argentina, emphasizing his defense of public school.
