The samba schools of Rio de Janeiro have every year the parade at the Sambódromo. For this party to materialize, lots of artisans working all year on making the props inside the barracões of the samba schools. The purpose of this article is how the processes of teaching and learning crafts that are part of the daily life of these sheds occurred. An empirical study was conducted with the primary, secondary and bibliographic sources, we sought to contribute to the understanding of the existing educational process whose purpose is to promote the discussion of non-formal vocational education.
