The contribution of the mediation concept for the understanding of the pedagogical work with use of technologies demands that this concept is taken in a dialectical perspective, as a counterpoint to a structural view of mediation. This article is grounded on the dialectical-materialist basis of historical-cultural theory, seeking to overcome the dualism in the approach to mediation as an explicative possibility for the relationship between technology and education. The effort focuses on affirmation of mediation as a process, as a relationship and not as an object that comes between two distinct elements.
