Abstract

OLIVEIRA, Rosa Maria Moraes Anunciato de; SOUZA, Ana Paula Gestoso de; MAGALHAES, Elisa Gomes  and  MONTEIRO, Filomena Maria de Arruda. Narrative Inquiry: what undergraduate students and beginning teachers say. R. Educ. Públ. [online]. 2016, vol.25, n.60, pp.631-656. ISSN 2238-2097.  https://doi.org/10.5965/01045962v25n602016631.

This paper aims at presenting and analyzing the perspective of beginning teachers, acting in the early years of primary education, and of Pedagogy undergraduate students, when they reflect, at an online message board, on the experience of creating narratives about their period of schooling and on the experiences faced in their early teaching carrier. The theoretical and methodological reflections presented in this article are based on the assumptions of the Narrative Inquiry and of the Teacher Education. The results indicate that writing and discussing about ex periences of schooling enabled the female teachers to think about their own practice, and the female undergraduate students, about their future action, both seeking for their professional development.

Keywords : Teacher Education; Trajectories of Teacher Education; Narrative Inquiry.
