Abstract

This article proposes the study of the mea nings about the city of Cuiabá grasped by children, students of the public teaching web, analyzed under the perspective of the Social Representation Theory (MOSCOVICI, 2003; JODELET, 1982, 2001) in dialogue with the Cultural-History Theory (VIGOTSKI, 2009, 2010).Interviews of 40 children were analyzed by the lexical analyzes. This last one reveals the city as scenery where inner experiences un fold, which the child constitutes subjectively, giving evidences of experiences predominantly in private spaces, where the linearity is more present than the creation and the encounter with others.
