This text is the result of a scientific investigation, conducted with women from the Xavante eth nicity within the Pimentel Barbosa village, in Mato Grosso. It aims through this text excerpt to unfold a dialogue about Merleau-Ponty's phenomenology and the methodological pro cesses used during the course of the research. It focuses on issues interlinked with the education of the Xavante women, detailing in practice, the methodology designed together with them. The theoretical foundations of the analyses are based on significant authors such as: Merleau-Ponty, Geertz, Souza Santos, Capalbo to name a few. The results point to the interweaving of the me thodological construction, by the Xavante wo men, with Merleau-Ponty's design methodology.
