This article is a result of academic-scientific research, whose objective was focused on knowing what teachers know and how they organize the situations of make-believe with students of early childhood education. Here, we present the analysis of the four thematic axes that emerged from the speeches of the teachers who participated in the research, taking as the basis the historical-Cultural theory. It is concluded that the teachers have general knowledge about the importance of make-believe, they believe that the diversity of toys guarantees the play, and the resignification of them in the school should be based on continuing education, focusing on teaching mediation to the promote of psychic development.
