This paper aims to comprehend the historiographical aspects of the Education during the process of establishment of the city of Porto Velho, during the period of 1910 to 1930. Therefore, we invoked the documented groundwork that was made of papers available by the Collections of the National Library, memory texts and Reports made by the intendant that were analyzed by the Cultural Historic approach. When it concerns about the Primary Education, the results show the aspects of the firsts schools of the city, the existent modalities and the debates about the school group installed in the city during the decade of 1920 that generated struggles of representation inside the multiples social segments.
