The paper discusses the monitoring and the assessment of learning in the context of Hybrid Education and OnLIFE Education, highlighting the construction of these concepts. The main goal of this work is to present and discuss a proposal for monitoring and evaluating learning, developed from elements present in the cartographic research method and elements present in gamification. The results point to the potential of design to provoke shifts in the way teachers understand and develop assessment and, to instigate metacognitive processes and awareness of the learning process.
