Abstract

BERINO, Aristóteles  and  SANDIM, Roberta. Pandemic, Crossings and Media in Dialogue with Paulo Freire and the Pedagogy of Hope. R. Educ. Públ. [online]. 2022, vol.31, e13394.  Epub June 29, 2022. ISSN 2238-2097.  https://doi.org/10.29286/rep.v31ijan/dez.13394.

This article emerges from a pandemic scenario, in times of social isolation in the context of the culture of connectivity. In this sense, we problematize about the democratic practice for a public and remote education, in the capacity of dialogue crossed by social media, therefore, looking for ways to (re)exist. The objective was to understand the new paths in the face of the epidemiological crisis. As a method, we rely on Freirean works, with regard to the urgency of hope, the development of a network linked to the collectivity through the media and the beauty of the experience of those who make the crossing. Thus, we continue inspired by the legacy of Paulo Freire, leaning towards popular education.

Keywords : Pandemic; Media; Paulo Freire; Hope.
