This paper presents the experiences of two teachers during Paulo Freire as a municipal secretary of education in São Paulo, showing Freirean premises in the training processes of the researchers. The formation research presents, through those experiences, considerations about Freirean concepts in their professional practices and in the studies developed by the research groups they lead. It concludes that educational actions (re)founded under the Freirean prism are important instances of insurgencies and resistance to the instrumental perspective, in the struggle for an emancipatory and solidary education, making the viable unprecedented a possible utopia.
