Abstract

The objective is to discuss about Iolanda de Oliveira her trajectory of contributions and her conceptions and contributions about anti-racist education in Brazilian society. The method used in this research was life history using documents to support. Iolanda de Oliveira, a black professor, presents a tireless struggle against racism in different spaces and levels of teacher training; created and participated in several movements that are configured in strategies to promote the education of the black population, such as the black contest and education, also on evaluation committee for Ford Foundation scholarship holders and GTT - Ethnic-Racial Relations of ANPED.
