The purpose of this essay is to reflect on Scientific Literacy in health for high school students. The study uses the narrative bibliographical review and the descriptive analysis for theoretical deepening of the discussions. The results reflect the relevance of Scientific Literacy in health, specifically, Health Education as a way of instrumentalizing and creating a health culture for choices and decisions guided by science, with an impact on the quality of life of this student. Another aspect is the initial and continuing training of teachers, taking into account the need for curriculum change and innovation in Science teaching, which is inclusive and accessible.
