The research aims to analyze the social representations of children shared by students of public schools in Recife-PE. The tests of free association of words were applied to 100 children aged between six and eleven years old and 4 focus groups were conducted. Knowing the structure of the social representation through the prototypical analysis, it was possible to identify the presence of technologies, even they are not central to the structure, may indicate that the social representation of the child is in the process of transformation through the social context of technological expansion.
