The article aims to discuss the closure of multiseriated schools in the Amazon field. Field and Documentary research was used for data collection. The method for appreciation and analysis was Dialectical Historical Materialism. The context of the research is the municipality of Alvarães/Am. The results obtained are: a) the lowest rate of the permanent population in the field of Alvarães varies among young people aged fifteen to seventeen years; b) 19% of the population with school age completed elementary school in this municipality; c) 76 studies found among theses and dissertations, none discussed the closure of multiseriated schools in the Amazon. The contribution of this text is to discuss in the Amazon the closure of schools in the field, since this theme has not been discussed in the State.
