COELHO, Caroline Pugliero; SOARES, Renata Godinho; VICOSA, Cátia Silene Carrazoni Lopes  and  ROEHRS, Rafael. Inclusive Special Education: legislative history and school context, necessary dialogues. Rev. Educ. Polít. Debate [online]. 2023, vol.12, n.1, pp.441-458.  Epub Jan 02, 2023. ISSN 2238-8346.  https://doi.org/10.14393/repod-v12n1a2023-66017.

Inclusive special education proposes a change in the values of traditional education and a restructuring of inclusion processes, this is the reason why both public policies in the inclusive educational context and the critical analysis of legislation regarding this subject are so important. The study aims to analyze documents on inclusive education policies in order to understand how inclusion takes place in the school context. This is a qualitative research, of the documentary and bibliographic type. Thematic analysis was used for data analysis. Concluding, it can be seen that public policies ensure many benefits and propose resources to enable the effectiveness of school inclusion. However, the reality found in schools often does not present such benefits.
