Abstract

MACEDO, Cleuza Rezende  and  VASCONCELOS, Juliene Silva. Understanding inclusive education in higher education: reviewing publications from 2015 to 2020. Rev. Educ. Polít. This research aims to investigate the challenges faced by students with disabilities in higher education regarding barriers to access, persistence, and completion of studies, as well as institutional actions aimed at their academic success. A literature review was conducted, including the identification of descriptors, selection of databases, search for articles, analysis, synthesis, and discussion of information. The research showed that the implementation of legal principles of pedagogical and attitudinal accessibility arises from the movement of influence, changes in values, perceptions, and pedagogical practices. Finally, it is necessary to expand these principles in order to contribute to the formative journey of these students.
