This article discusses the recommendation that international organizations have made for the adoption of world-class evaluation systems in Latin American countries. The aim is to reflect on the process of internationalization of Latin American evaluation systems, which are transformed into world-class systems. The research was based on an analysis of 34 documents dealing with evaluation in Latin America between 1990 and 2019. The results indicate that the model adopted is one that favors results-based assessment, which holds teachers accountable, monitors and leads to accountability, enables comparison between education systems and encourages the establishment of global standards of reference.
