This article analyses the emotional education approach in the evaluation proposals of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CABA). This is a perspective promoted by international agencies and based on references such as positive psychology, theories of emotional intelligence and the competency model, which promote discourses of individualisation of the social in the field of education. The relevance of the CABA case lies in the fact that it is the political capital of Argentina, with weight in the definition of the national educational agenda, and where the right-wing political force in the government has been consolidated. The findings presented here are based on the analysis of reports from international organisations and proposals for the evaluation of the city, complemented by interviews with public officials.
