This article analyzes recent trends in internationalization policies within the global context. The globalization and information and communication technologies were decisive to institute internationalization in all fields of society, which brought about changes substantial transformations in educational systems. In this scenario, a dynamic movement has emerged with the aim of transcending national boundaries, seeking to conceptualize and implement guidelines of universal applicability. Notably, academic mobility stands as the most conspicuous manifestation of this internationalization. Used document analysis and historical data series related to the subject. The internationalization processes have undergone alterations in their modus operandi, facilitated by the use of online platforms, and adverse world contexts that have reduced the student mobility.
