The study presents a synthesis of the Brazilian legislation Evolution for Special Education in public schools, highlighting the existence of programs and important resources for this transversal modality focusing on students with disabilities, global disorders of development and high abilities or giftedness. However, the recent law analysis in the State of Goiás has evidenced the attempt to reduce special support to an administrative role, relativizing specialized teaching actions. Considering exclusionary dynamics, that characterize Brazilian Society, invisibility was identified in the legislation of demands, that although are not classified as disabilities – it requires differentiated assistance for the effective exercise of citizenship.
