Abstract

ROSITO, Valeria. Literatura juvenil contemporânea: dilemas da pluralidade cultural. LTP [online]. 2010, vol.28, n.55, pp.37-47. ISSN 2317-0972.

This article goes over the concept of polyphony under the light of Mikhail Bakhtin’s thought. It focuses on a sample of contemporary literary writings for teenagers in Brazil. The notion of polyphony includes the refraction of being in language, finding in class struggle its utmost horizon. We have endeavored to update the discussion and to broaden the theoretical framework developed by the Russian thinker by including gender and race perspectives This way, we point out, on the one hand, how interlocution can occur only via a counter -hegemony project, and on the other hand, how cultural plurality becomes real upon the unveiling of conflicting elements, stemming also, but not only, from class struggle.

Keywords : Mikhail Bakhtin; Contemporary Teenage Literature; Cultural Plurality.
