Abstract

SANTIAGO, Flávio. Hierarchization and racialization of the black children in early childhood education. LTP [online]. 2015, vol.33, n.64, pp.31-47. ISSN 2317-0972.  https://doi.org/10.2014/LTP-v33n64jan0003.

This paper presents the results of a survey conducted in a Children Educational Center in the metropolitan region of Campinas. This is an ethnographic research involving children three years. The objective is to present the impact of racialization on the construction of children's cultures. From the theoretical assumptions of the sociology of childhood, related to Race Relations in Brazil, we tried to understand the influence of this process in the performing macro constructs stereotypes of black children. The results indicate the existence of reproduction of prejudices regarding racial category and the legitimation of social hierarchies that legitimize inequality.
