This study is the result of the analysis in children's literature works Tiquinho do Pantanal - o dia-a-dia de um pantaneirinho writt en by Marcela Lemos Monteiro and Pantanal - amor bagua writt en by José Hamilton Ribeiro. Our goal is to make, from him, a reading work proposal with the children from Pantanal region. The bonomial of education and culture is the aim of our discussion it is revealing that the results of these works offer us to find data on pantaneiro scenario, the presence of man as an important expression. We understand that this research will offer teachers and students of the Pantanal region an important material as reading stimulus in classrooms of schools, providing opportunities to these individuals see themselves as builders of their history, while , take the products already constructed by culture.
