Indigenous oral narratives are oft en classified as legends, a minor genre of literature or as myths, they do not deserve credibility as sources stories. Oft en, they are also understood only as a manifestation of the spoken word in a homogeneous perspective of language and not as a complex process of verbal communication, which may involve gestures, painting, voice, music. In 2010, during realization of the project Children Surui-Aikewára: between tradition and new technologies in school, we produced three books and four movies from the oral narratives of this indigenous society. In this article, based on the definition of social interaction, we analyze some results of this project, the didactic possibilities of indigenous oral narratives and their historical transformations.
