TELES, Maria Amélia de Almeida. A visiting professor at the Faculty of Education, Campinas State University - Unicamp. LTP [online]. 2018, vol.36, n.72, pp.135-149. ISSN 2317-0972.  https://doi.org/10.5965/0102-387Xv36n722018000149.

This paper presents experiences, impressions and reflections about my role as a visiting professor at the Faculty of Education of the State University of Campinas during the first semester of 2017, when I conducted the course “The Right to Education and Childhood: Children’s education in dayly cares, a history of women”. I speak of my surprise in participating in the university open hiring notice for activists and specialists - what for me was something unheard of - and the thrill of an activist becoming a visiting professor. The whole process made me go back to the time I worked at a municipal day care in São Paulo. This text also brings what being exposed every Monday to the students’ interest in feminisms, the history of day care struggles and the history of women’s struggles meant to me. In this particular the women’s resistance during the military dictatorship (1964-1985) is to be highlighted, in which many were murdered by the agents of the repression. This paper approaches aspects that have impacted me the most, without leaving aside my own difficulties and the difficulties of academic life itself.
