The present text aims to present aspects of the educational role developed by the Research Ethics Committee of the Instituto Federal Farroupilha, with a view to contributing to the improvement of ethical analyzes carried out within the scope of the CEP/Conep system. For this, experience reports were used to publicize successful actions, share limits found and interpret the importance of the actions taken. The experience of the members, who now make up the committee's collegiate, indicates the effectiveness and importance of educational actions, representing an improvement in the ethical evaluation processes, since the correct information circulated more easily.
