This paper takes the relationship knowledge and interest as a dialectical pair that builds it up inseparable the production of knowledge, when is trying to analyze in the thought of Habermas and Bourdieu the factors that influence the choice of objects to study. It purposes a discussion based on reflections and social reality as a totality and a whole relationship between subject and object, theory and method. Everything is trying to uncover the conditions that were in the basis and within the knowledge production and that can be analyzed from the relationship between knowledge and interest.
