The issue in this article consists in the following question: are there virtues and conceptions of moral education that can assist the development of the autonomy of the educators? This text searches to discuss the matter of the virtues and conceptions of moral education, as of Aristotle, utilizing Puig as an interpreter, mainly, the same way discoursing over the matter of autonomy, using Zatti and Freire. From the method’s point of view, the work is conducted from literature review. The methodological approach, that is, the analysis of texts from the mentioned authors, is justified in the search of resignification of moral education to the development of the educator’s autonomy. The awaited results consist in the possibility of the educator being able to understand, in a rigorous way, the virtues and conceptions of moral education.
