Abstract

FREITAS, Silvane Aparecida de  and  MACHADO, Katia Resende de Assis. Contributions of the bakhtinian social-interactionism and the french Discourse Analysis to language teaching. Sér.-Estud. [online]. 2013, n.36, pp.49-62. ISSN 2318-1982.  https://doi.org/10.20435/2318-1982-2013-v.36(04).

This article aims to highlight the contributions that the Bakhtinian social interaction theories and what the French Discourse analysis can offer to the teaching languages, especially, so far regarding the reading formation and the various possibilities of meaning production that the texts present. We emphasize the need of a posture change by teachers and students on the texts, with the aim of increasing the students’ discursive capacity, freeing them of the pressure of having to find a single meaning for the text, a single correct answer that was always the teacher or textbook ones.

Keywords : Discourse; Interaction; Teaching.
