Abstract

This paper analyzes the concept of democratic management implicit in educational activities offered by two spaces non-formal education. The study was performed in Federação de Órgãos para Assistência Social e Educacional, FASE, upon the focus of the Training Course of Social Agents and Municipal Councillors, and the Instituto Ayrton Senna, from the approach of the Program Management Note 10. The theoretical framework used in the study underscores the political dimension of the spaces non-formal education can take without defending the diminishing role of the state in the provision of public education. The reflections advocated a conception of democratic management adopted in the text. The study brings the contributions about the possibility of building a new relationship with knowledge in the analysis of educational investigated. The qualitative study used as instruments of data collection: document analysis and interviews with the coordinators of two Third Sector Organizations. The findings in the study indicated that the NGOs studied the differences on the political dimension of educational management are emphasized.
