This article aims to examine two contexts of technological and pedagogical appropriation of lap top use in practice of teachers in training in Project One Computer per Student (UCA). In the first context, we seek to understand the relationships established between teachers and laptop use in teaching and learning process and in the second context, to understand the choices that teachers make about digital learning materials. The two contexts refer to a state school in the municipa lity of Terenos in the State of Mato Grosso do Sul and a public school located in the municipality Campo Limpo Paulista, approximately 60 km from the state capital of São Paulo. This research did not intend to compare the two contexts, but to evidence possible approaches and / or distances from the practice of teachers using the laptop. The results show a movement of teachers in this technological and pedagogical appropriation, showing willingness, interest and desire to face the challenges of the UCA Project.
