Living toghether is one of the greatest challenges we face in the society nowadays. This happens because a great part this society ignores the differences and seeks hegemony of certain races and creeds. The present school in the modern society is the typical Picture where diversity is evident and the respect values must be built and molded to seek a more correct and uniform society. The aim of this study was to show the the contribution of action research thorough social representations of 103 children from a public school. These 'white' lived together with Kaingang and Krenak indians and some traditions of the indigenous culture. At the end, it was concluded that the initial representations of the students were modified throughout the study and solidified at the end of the action research.
