Abstract

The teaching of the written language, in Brazil, is still a big challenge to educators and researchers of the area. Anchores in unsderstanding that the learning of the written language is not spontaneous and it must be a conscious process by the students, what envolves a schematized teaching, and having by objective reflecting over the implications of the mediation of the teacher in this process, we developed a pedagogic intervention with a student who had educational difficulties in a Paraná state university. This student presented difficulties in the educational process and, more specifically, at the literacy process. The development of the proposition contributed to the comprehension that the organization and realization of the pedagogic activities surpass the mechanical way of teaching must be the target of the teacher's work, as it must be the target of that work the teaching that surpasses the belief in the spontaneous way of learning.
