This research aimed to analyze the complexity of teaching in the First Years of Elementary Education in the perception of academics the degree in Physical Education of Center Physical Education and Sports (CEFD) of Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) in Situation of Supervised, emphasizing their role of teacher, the their feelings and the their challenges. The methodology characterized by the phenomenological approach in the form of a case study with qualitative approach. The instrument utilized for data collection was a questionnaire with open questions. The interpretation of information was the content analysis. The participants were fifteen (15) academics from the 7th semester of the Degree in Physical Education of CEFD/UFSM, enrolled in the discipline of Supervised III (Series/First Years of Elementary Education). It has been found a complex and challenging educational reality for the performance of academics of physical education in situations of Supervised in the first years of elementary education and, as a result, a variety of feelings, both positive and negative, in the future teachers.
