RODRIGUEZ, Claudia Margarita Orozco; MORGADO, Erla Mariela Morales  y  ORTUNO, Rosalynn Argelia Campos. Learning Objects Creation based on Johnson-Laird Mental Models. Sér.-Estud. [online]. 2016, vol.21, n.42, pp.21-39. ISSN 2318-1982.  https://doi.org/10.20435/2318-1982-2016-v.21-n.42(02).

Often during the mathematics learning process, certain concepts are not well understood, this is due to the fact that students only memorize problem-solving processes and meaningless exercises consequently they are easily forgotten. Trying to solve this problem, various strategies have been developed, among which we highlight the use of ICT in the classroom. Although some authors argue that ICT promotes the development of different skills, we must take into account that any resource or teaching strategy can accomplish its role, according to this, it is necessary to understand what is the learning process and what factors influence this in order to plan activities and resources to be applied. This article presents the steps for creating a Learning Object and the results of its pedagogical and technical quality evaluation. Activities and resources in its structure are under the focus of the theory of mental models of Johnson-Laird, among which we highlight the use of external representation construction with GeoGebra program as an aid for understanding abstract concepts.
