Abstract

FERNANDES, Anoel. Continuing education: research from the normative sources expressed by a group of teachers. Sér.-Estud. [online]. 2016, vol.21, n.42, pp.127-146. ISSN 2318-1982.  https://doi.org/10.20435/2318-1982-2016-v.21-n.42(08).

The aim of this paper was to investigate from where comes the continuing education experiences of a group of active teachers in the cycle I of the São Paulo public schools. As a research method was applied a questionnaire to a group of 37 teachers. The theoretical framework used for the analysis was the concept of training as formulated by Adorno and its consequences. Based on responses to a questionnaire that contained items related to realization of professional development courses and institutions that promote such courses, as well as the sources of influence on teachers with regard to education, the results indicated that continuing education the teachers in the sample is carried out mostly by the working locus own which they operate. The data found here trigger a relevant discussion, namely: training as part of the work is to be pseudoformação oriented training to meet system demands.

Keywords : Continuing education; formative experience; work and training.
