Abstract

This article presents reflections about educational processes consolidated by women who participate in prostitute associations in the cities of Belo Horizonte, Campina Grande, João Pessoa and Recife, in order to understand how militant prostitutes are educated in the struggle for their rights. The presented reflections were made by the light of Popular Education along of postdoctoral completed in 2014. Dialogue and methodological interaction with the survey participants provoked comprehension that the processes organization has favored its articulation allowing plan and execution of educative actions in these areas in order to strengthen critical reading of reality and development of self-esteem and self-confidence of these women, necessary elements for their engagement in the struggle for rights and building their autonomy.
