This paper presents didactics' scenery in post -graduate education in the Centro-Oeste Region of Brazil. The analyzes are the results of research carried out to identify "how", "what", "about what" and "where" the lines of research in the field of didactics have researched and produced in the period 2004-2010. A sample of 40% of registred by the Capes in 2010 had been raised and analyzed. The data have revealed that 30 % of searches and 35 % of the publications within them are not about didatics, which shows a distortion. within the lines of didactics. When we observe the fields of didactics we see a concentration that both the researches and productions are concentrated in the field of research, followed by the professional and, at a very low frequency, of the disciplinary.The study of dimensions denotes that both in research and in productions the dimension of foundations concentrates the investigations, followed by the dimensions of modes and, finally, of conditions. The data also reveal that more than half of the publications in conference proceedings occur. The data also show that more than half of the publications are in conference proceedings. Books, book chapters and journal articles (vehicles of highest academic rating) represent only 40 % of the total area publications in the region. These data signaling the need for a critical look at the place didactics occupied and what has been produced in the area as well as to demand that the academic- political investments that at the center of academic and pedagogical research and enable its due appreciation.
