The evaluation in the school context represents a device of power, independent of its instruments and or speeches that point to improvement of teaching, efficiency, among other arguments, yet, the evaluation especially in the education of children is a form of control. This article presents the defense of a child education without vigilance and without punishment, in agree of the rescue of the freedom to have singular experiences in childhood. In order to do so, it presents a survey on the guidelines for municipal schools in Sorocaba, SP, in which they implemented in 2008, an evaluation form in early childhood education in accordance with an Excellence Management Program. They were involved in this program, school directors, management team to train and establish the goals and instrument of evaluation of students, children. The results of this analysis confronts business discourse with daily school life, and points to a deviation from school function, which should provide experiences and support the child in his discoveries, for the control and establishment of goals that labels and controls them.
