Teacher training is essential in distance education and must be planned according to the teachers’ training needs and the demands of the digital society, enabling the teacher to build digital skills. Raising the teacher training in distance education, allows to recognize a new reality and new educational models, breaking with old paradigms towards a reflexive and autonomous pedagogical practice. In this article, we analyze the digital skills of the higher education teachers with the objective of establishing the training needs and planning a teacher training for the teachers. According to this teaching profile, a qualitative study of the evaluation of the digital teaching competences is carried out, involving the voices of the protagonists (professors and manager) and establishing the different training needs, which give rise to the training proposal.
